How do I move content from my original tab to the new one that I created? I don't want to download it to excel, just move info over so my original tab isn't so hard to sort through.

Hi! Following is how you can duplicate your Submissions tab.

This new cloned tab will create a copy of existing records but it will not include newer submissions.

I hope this helps. For further queries, feel free to write back to us.

    Thank you!

    Good morning,
I only wanted to move specific data, not copy the whole thing. I didn’t know if there was a way to do it singularly as opposed to a bulk transfer. Also, if I do the bulk transfer and delete items from the new tab, do they stay on the old tab or does it delete them completely? Thank you.

    Good Morning,

If you want to move specific data to the new tab, please follow these steps:

    1. Click on New Tab and select the view you want.
    2. Choose the option of Connect to Form.
    3. Select the form from which you want to move specific data.
    4. You will get the option to choose the columns you want to add.

    See the screencast below:

Also, if I do the bulk transfer and delete items from the new tab, do they stay on the old tab, or does it delete them completely?

If you create a duplicate tab, as explained by my colleague, changes made in the duplicate tab will not affect the original one.

If you add specific data to the new tab, changes will affect the original tab because both tabs are connected to the form.

    I hope this helps.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

It’s not a matter of moving columns, I’m sorry I’m not being clear enough. We use jotform for applications for animal adoptions. I want to be able to set up a new tab to move the persons application over to the new area. For instance, if they adopted an animal, I want an area that I can keep their information. Another tab would be for people who filled out an application and have been approved but haven’t found a dog yet. We’re having to scroll through all the applications to find what we want, I’m trying to sort them better.

    Thank you for the clarification.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to move submissions from tab to tab.

You can, however, create a filter. If you have a field with the application status, you can add a filter to show only specific submissions:

After you apply a filter, you will also have the option to create a new tab from the displayed results:
