How can i set up a form so that submission quantities are tallied, and the form is disabled after a certain quantity is reached?

I'm coordinating a program to give free meals to people affected by the closure of businesses related to COVID restrictions.

I want to enable people to pick up two melas per person.

How do I establish a field with conditional formatting to let people reserve two meals -- and then disable the form when 175 meals are reserved?

I can't figure out how to do it.

    Thank you

    Hello @KevinGalaba,

Thank you for contacting JotForm Support.

While it is not possible to disable a form based on the products that are purchased, you can disable a form based on the number of submissions made. Instead of disabling based on the number of meals, you can disable after a specific number of submissions.

This can be done in the Form Settings page of your Form Builder, under the Form Status, you can select the Disable on Submission Limit. Related User Guide - https://www.jotform.com/help/180-how-to-enable-disable-a-form

I don't want to disable the form based on number of submissions.

If someone opts for two meals, that one submission actually counts as two meals... so the count would be off, and we'd have 175 submissions, but in actuality, we'd have to provide way more than 175 meals, which would be a disaster for the project.

Is there any way to link something to a cell in google sheets, where I can set a formula to add up all the meals (not submissions) and disable the form from that result?

    Hi there,

Unfortunately, what you are suggesting is not possible as the form can only be disabled via conditions using this specific way: https://www.jotform.com/help/439-enable-or-disable-a-form-based-on-time-using-conditions

However, for a workaround, I suggest using the Inventory Widget which sets the number of available products/items. You can use that as a counter and use a condition to disable the submit button as well as show a paragraph field that says "Maximum Meals Reached".

    Here are helpful guides:

    I hope that helps.
