Is it possible to Hide Empty Matrixes in emails?

Asked by nsmith54321 on October 08, 2013 at 11:04 AM

I am working on a complex shopping list form with many, many fields.  I am only interested in seeing the fields that the user has provided input on.  So in other words, can the form submit the fields that have been given feedback on and leave the other ones out?  This way when I print out the shopping list it only gives me the items I'm to do action on.  I'd rather not see every field that I've created if they are blank (which would equate to over 30 printed pages when I'm done).

Hello, you can do this by enabling this option by following the steps below:

    From the Form Editor,

    1. Click Preferences Button

    2. Navigate to Advanced Settings Tab

    3. Make sure that "Hide Empty Fields on Emails" is set to Enable

Please let us know if this works for you or if you need further assistance. Thanks

OK That works "Kind-Of".  It sorted through most of my form, but it's still leaving my Matrix fields even with no input.  I have a lot of Matrix fields in my form.  Is there a way those can be left off the submissions if there has been no feedback?  The matrix fields have drop-downs.

I do hope there is a way.  We're almost there.

    Thank you,

New response receivedTested it this morning and it works like a charm! I have some cleanup to do on my end, but I have the system now. Before my submissions were close to 40 pages with info I didn’t need, now I’m only getting what the customer is ordering! Thank you for the attention!
