I would like to create a 4 stage form.

i.e. 4 web pages, 4 forms, which are all really one form and will be RECEIVED by me together as a single form or as 4 forms each containing the same unique i.d. so that they can be matched.

Is this the only way to do that?

Yes, you can set the form that is embedded on one web page to redirect to another web page where the other form is embedded. And then, you can pass the data from one embedded form to another on the process. As for passing the same unique ID, please allow me some time to check for any possible workaround that would meet your requirements.

I'll get back to you on this ticket with my findings as soon as possible.

    Thanks Mike.

Ideally, what I would require would be a form that is in 4 parts. As opposed to 1 big looking form.

    e.g.

FORM 1 is completed then click 'proceed'

FORM 2 is completed then click 'proceed'

FORM 3 is completed then click 'proceed'

FORM 4 is completed then click 'submit'

I receive all 4 parts as 1 submission or if not possible as 4 submissions which can be identified with each other

You can use the redirect URL so that after submitting the first form, it will go to the second form.

However, the submissions would be 4 in total.

    Here is a guide:https://www.jotform.com/help/38-redirecting-users-to-a-different-page

Please check it out and let us know if this fits your requirements.

I just would like to add that the value of the Unique ID widget can be passed Form 1 that is embedded on Web Page 1 to a field in Form 2 that is Embedded in Web Page 2.

Here's the link to my sample Web Page 1 where Form 1 is embedded.

    https://shots.jotform.com/MikeG/web1-form1-pass-uniqueID-test.html

If you submit the embedded form on that Web Page, you will be redirected to Web page 2 where Form 2 is embedded. The value of the Unique ID that I have set up in Form 1 will be passed to the first field in Form 2 via URL parameters.
