    Hi there,

I am working on the TEST BUSD Preference Form 2021-22 & Declaration of Residency form. I added a question to the last page ("Are you and your child residents of Berkeley?"). I have the conditional logic set so that a "yes" answer displays all fields on the page and a "no" answer hides everything (both questions and paragraph text) and adds a notice saying that the page is not required.

For the live form, this is working correctly. For the PDF however, all paragraph text fields is appearing in all cases.

    When answer is "yes"...

Desired behavior on PDF: Hidden "Declaration of Residency is not required for non-Berkeley residents." does not appear. All other fields on page are shown.

Current behavior on PDF: "Declaration of Residency is not required for non-Berkeley residents." appears above other fields.

    When answer is "no"...

Desired behavior on PDF: "Declaration of Residency is not required for non-Berkeley residents." shows. All other fields on page are hidden.

Current behavior on PDF: All paragraph text appears, including "The following children under the age of 18...." and "I certify that my children and I...." paragraph fields which are hidden on the form.

My settings are such that hidden fields are cleared on submit, but it appears that this does not work for paragraph fields. Is there anything I can do?

Unfortunately, the paragraph field will not work as per the conditions in the PDF Document as PDF Editor could not read conditions configured in the form the same way.

What you can do is create multiple pdfs with the text and then trigger the emails with the specific pdf based on the conditions.

For example in one PDF1 you have this text:

"Desired behavior on PDF: Hidden "Declaration of Residency is not required for non-Berkeley residents." does not appear. All other fields on page are shown.

Current behavior on PDF: "Declaration of Residency is not required for non-Berkeley residents." appears above other fields."

In another PDF2 you have this text:

"Desired behavior on PDF: "Declaration of Residency is not required for non-Berkeley residents." shows. All other fields on page are hidden.

Current behavior on PDF: All paragraph text appears, including "The following children under the age of 18...." and "I certify that my children and I...." paragraph fields which are hidden on the form."

Now when you send an email you can add conditions to trigger the email 1 with PDF1 and respectively the other one.

    Thanks.

Thanks for this workaround, Roneet! Could you forward my request as a suggestion for your dev team? I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants paragraph fields conditionally hidden on PDFs just like the other fields.

Let me forward your request to our backend team to be able to show/hide the paragraph element in the PDF Editor too similar to the online form.

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks.
