I would like for the Reservation App to be ImprovedAsked by ChelleB on October 10, 2013 at 09:50 AM
We are using JotForm for reservation forms.
I REALLY like the reservation app - but, as soon I try to edit the form - by including my company logo and adding some information regarding the event - not to mention creating a notification and autoresponder e-mail - the app no longer works.
What's the point of offering the apps as part of jotform is they cannot be used as part of jotform?
Thanks for contacting us.
Actually that is the way the Reservation App works. It is created so that you create forms instantly and easily, focused in the only objective to create reservation forms. It is created in that way so that you don't need to do anything else in the form builder.
Please let us know if you need further assistance about this.
Its an awesome app - but of little use if you cant at least just add some information about the event.
Hi Chelle, We appreciate the Feedback about the App. However, there isn't much we can do about it here so if you have some suggestions and wish to talk about it more I would highly recommend that you rate and email the developer whom programmed the App here: http://apps.jotform.com/app/reservation_form then click " Report " or you can just respond with your own review and suggestions about improving it.
Also, I would like to point out that I do understand where you are going with this but I believe the purpose of the App was more intended to simply things to quickly generate a Reservation Form as the App mentions so I think that is most likely why there is not alot of customization over it otherwise you might as well just build a quick one yourself within your JotForm Builder instead since the App would be of no use if you wanted to modify it further.
Thanks for your response - appreciated.
Is there are tutorial available or someone who might be able to assist me to create a reservation form such as the one in the app within my form?
I will be offering a number of workshops within my store and will only be able to accommodate 10 people at a time. Ideally I would like the person registering to be able to see immediately how many seats are still available for the workshop and then book their seat accordingly.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
As far as I understand, the Reservation App form does not use the design of the JotForm based form. It means, that you can not change the reservation forms on http://reservation.jotform.io/ site.
Unfortunately, we do not have any native options for reservations with some kind of stock/quantity available. Thank you for your request, I will send an additional feature request ticket to our Development Team.
If you can accept one seat per submission, then we can try to use a form Submission Limit feature.
And show registered people on the form by embedding HTML Table Listing Report directly to the form. You can check the following thread, it is a little bit similar and has a form with embedded report on it.
If you need any further assistance on this, please let us know.
Hi Mike,Thanks - wasn't aware of the submission limit option - wont be as nice but will defnitely serve the purpose I require. Many thanks
