Feature Request: My Forms View - Ability To Change The Order Of Folders

Asked by markashton on October 11, 2013 at 07:19 AM

    Hi,

So with the new view ....

One can't drag and drop forms to different positions in a folder to have their own order

    And ....

One can't change the order of folders

I think the drag and drop of files and folders is a critical success factor.

    Thanks Mark

    Hi mark

One can't drag and drop forms to different positions in a folder to have their own order

That's right,  forms are sorted by edit date. I'm going to forward your suggestion  to our feature request list.

One can't change the order of folders

The folders are sorted by alphabetical order, will also forward your suggestion about custom sorting of the folders to our feature request list.

    Thanks

    UPDATE:

You can also sort forms using other criteria:

    - Alphabetical

    - Creation Date

    - Last edit

    - Submission count

    - New Submission

Why create a new view that has half the functionality of the original ?

To be able to move your forms where you want them was working in jotform 3 years ago ... now it's not!

The sort criteria you note above ...

No one wants to sort forms by any of those criteria ... not if you use it in the real world.

They've been put in because "you think they are good" not because they are actually used.

Ok last edit and last submission may be useful ... but as a check option.

The new view is hopeless compared with the old view I'm afraid ... hopeless

There is just no control to folder/form management

    What were you thinking??

Ok ... I'm going to move to the new view as the old is not supported any more

So, can I officially request the ability to change the order of folders to different positions i.e. one's own hierarchy.

I don't organise folders alphabetically with jotform .. I do it by priority

That would be most useful ... can you advise me if this is in the pipeline please?

    Thanks Mark

    Mark,

This thread is already added to our feature request. However, just like the other requests we have, we cannot guarantee you any timeframe as to when this will be implemented. If there are updates made into this, you'll surely receive a notification via this thread.

    Thank you!

    The usual standard answer !

As far as I can tell ... nothing ever gets added ... I've still got bugs outstanding from months ago ... you lot haven't done them ... and won't

This particular feature is available in the old view ... I use it all the time.

This view has less features ... yeah its got some nice tagging thing going on ... the colours? ... mmm ... who cares about them ...

    Sigh !!

    Hello,

A ticket has been open on this thread just as on the previous thread. There is currently an outstanding list of tasks the Developer Team has to tackle, but they surely do get to every ticket and evaluate the feasibility of each feature request. Once we have any updates on your input from the Development Team they should be posted on this thread. Thank you.

My tests indicate that one can now change the order of folders.

    This ticket can be closed.

    Thanks Regards Mark
