Move fields in configurable widget for repeating sections

I've seen multiple questions about having repeating sections like CognitoForms, but the standard response is to use the configurable widget. It's clearly not the same, but you guys keep directing people to it so I'll give it a try. The widget puts all of the information needed in a row. That can get cluttered and confusing if you need multiple of pieces of information per repeating section. How can I place the fields in the configurable widget in the format I want/need them in? For example, multiple rows of input fields and not 1 long row strung across the form. (P.S. you should consider an upgrade to the widget.)

    Hi, Jackson!

If I understand you correctly - you want to customize your Configurable list widget. If so, you can use CSS code to customize it.

"For example, multiple rows of input fields and not 1 long row strung across the form. "

You can check this thread to get more information about customization:

How Can I Customize my Configurable List Widget (Text / Buttons / Rows / Columns / Fonts / Colors)?

And this guide: How to Set Up the Configurable List Widget

Please, try it and if you will have further questions - feel free to ask us.

    Have a nice day!

Hi Alex, that thread shows that user how to modify their specific widget. Doesn't do much to give me generic information on how I can make the items in my own widget work for me without having to know a lot of css. You guys really should make that widget simpler to add and modify. Ease is supposed to be the purpose behind the widgets.

We apologize for inconvenience. I recommend reviewing the user guide also.

User guide : How to Make the Configurable List Widget Mobile Responsive

The configurable list widget can be setup to be responsive to the screen view of the device being used.

You can check how it work on my test form which was a shortened clone of your form. Here is the URL link https://www.jotform.com/203586818385973

    Example:

You can apply the same custom CSS code injection workaround on your own form.

I hope this help. Let us know if you need further assistance.
