    Hi,

I have a table created for the form that has a list of codes and the manufacturer corresponding to that code. I want to use that as an input where the user can select one.

    https://form.jotform.com/203617002772044

We will need to be updating this form as the manufacturers will change from time to time.

How can I connect those values to an input, and ideally I would want the user to have a

choice per row, eg instead of having two possible choices to click on code and name, the value, if a user clicks on the name it should have the same effect as clicking on the code.

    Hello,

I can see that you are trying to use the Spreadsheet to Form widget, it seems that this will meet your requirements. Basically, this widget is commonly used to auto-populate other fields on the form. To my understanding, you would like to pull up the manufacturer by using the code, correct? If it is, then you can use the code as the Unique Access Code column to populate the manufacturer name.

Please refer to this detailed guide: How-to-use-the-spreadsheet-to-form-widget

Alternatively, you can use the Autocomplete widget for the list of manufacturers and the codes. However, this will not auto-populate other fields on the form. as it will only pull up the manufacturer and its code.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Sorry, unless I can reference the data from a table/spreadsheet that would not work. The autocomplete makes it very unmaintainable If we need to make changes. Ideally it would be a spreadsheet or table that can be modified externally, but if that’s not an option I would like to reference the data from one location. The autocomplete widget would work if it could reference a table instead of having to add the data to it.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to use a reference the autocomplete widget. You would have to manually input items into the widget.

The only way to get values from spreadsheet is using the spreadsheet to form widget.

If you have further questions, let us know.

That is too bad. Your platform would be so much more useful if it could reference external data.
