Apparently, I have the same concern. But as for my case, I do not have permission to clone the form. Seems I had disallowed cloning. Is there a script I can comment out (or delete) to grant me this permission?

    Hi,

You can allow cloning of your forms by following the steps below:

    1. Click to your "Avatar" and select "Settings"
    2. On the "Settings Page" in the "Privacy" menu; uncheck the first box which says "Do not allow my forms to be cloned by other users". Then you should be able to clone all of your forms. Please see the screencast below:

The problem is not the setting in my account, but the setting in the form am cloning. The form only exists in the source code, whose original form had disallowed cloning before being purged. Now am trying to find the script that holds that function.

You will need to enable cloning on the original form, download the full source code of the form and embed the form again using the new source code.

Here is how you can get the full source code of the form: https://www.jotform.com/help/104-how-to-get-the-full-source-code-of-your-form

However, there is no option to recover purged forms as they are removed permanently from our database.

I have no access to the original form. Its purged. The only available asset is the source code

Unfortunately, there is no script that would allow it. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know.

    Thanks
