    formatting on submission viewer app

Asked by skyrun on October 15, 2013 at 06:18 PM

formatting off on submission lists.  cutting off bottom one.  perhaps related to the size of the vertical photo not being calculated correctly by whatever css adds up the height of the js box?

and what happens when i get a few hundred submissions... do they page?  or just keep making the page longer.

    Hi there,

That's probably because the submissions viewer is embedded as iframe which creates a fixed height. To prevent the cut-off, increase your iframe height just a bit and set the scrolling value to "yes" so it creates a scrollbar instead of cutting of the submissions view.

    Example:

    <iframe src="//views.jotform.io/list.php?id=32837040199154" onload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)" allowtransparency="true" id="viewFrame" frameborder="0" scrolling="yes" style="width: 100%; height: 691px;"> </iframe>

    ---

To my observation, it won't create a paging but let me clarify this to the app developer.

    Thanks!

thanks for your quick response.  i think a check with the app developer will show that it's only partially correct though...  the scolling = yes does stay there and does make it so i can scroll down when the height of the iframe isn't quite big enough.

however the height is set by the app through js.... so it's overridden... height is normally set to 0 in the template for this reason.  so no matter what i put in there, the app sets it to the value it thinks it should be and setting it to 691px is fruitless.

the issue is that the app is picks the wrong value at least in my case.  so pls communicate that with the app developer and share my weblink to them as an example.

    THANKS!

    Hello all,

There is no paging yet. It is on the way.

You are definitely right, there is something wrong with the sizing. I will be working on them and let you know about the progress.

However, I would like give some hints the app is unfortunately missing:

    - Images scales to its container's width. (e.g. {$img} encapsulated by div of some width)

results in an image with width 50px and a scaled height.

    - You can change iframe width but above rule also applies. (so that iframe's parent width is applied)

Thank you very much for reporting

    Best

    thanks for the quick fix!

i have a 2nd one while you're in there.  feel free to open another thread.  on that same page, when people type their 'story' in as text they put CR's in to format it slightly.  the cr's are in when you edit, so they're being stored.  they're also in the email i get.  however on this app, the cr's are removed so it's all just one big paragraph.

    Hi Skyrun,

I feel I should humbly suggest to set your body background color in List template to #EEEFF0 (in css: body{background-color:#EEEFF0;}) and check your table width (it is 1000px and it does not fit to screen for smaller resolutions).

    Thanks and best
