After completing the form, the responses need to be shown to the user, which does work, however there are responses to questions that are not selected, that I do not want shows on the thank you page. the e-mail response works fine in filtering those out. is there a way to have hide fields not in use like the e-mails do?

Sorry to say but it is not possible on the thank you page as of the moment. The hide feature is only available for email notifications. I think creating a custom script that would catch the form data by enabling POST DATA on your form might be of help. Guide: Send POST Data From JotForm Using PHP in Custom Thank You Page
