Pre-Populate fields with Facebook Information when they login using Facebook Integration

Asked by pcmex on October 21, 2013 at 04:09 PM

I want to have a Form integrated with Facebook but I'd like to ask the user to log in before filling the form and then be able to pre-populate some fields with the user data.

For example, an email field. When creating the form, if the Form has been integrated with Facebook, then I could pre-populate the Default Value with something like {FB-email}. Maybe, we could select those values from a dropdown list generated with the fields retrieved from Facebook.

In my Form, most of the users would leave the default values, not having to type them, unless they want to use something else. For example, somebody fills the Form but the contact person is somebody else.

Could this be posible to implement?

    Thanks JotForm Team.

    Hi,

Actually, when integrating to Facebook, you will automatically get the user's information once they login to your form using their Facebook Account.

Just please be sure to check the option you want to capture. Please check our Facebook Integration Guide: Facebook-Forms-Integration-Video

As for prepopulating form fields after they login to your form, that is not possible with Jotform. Let me add this to our feature request list. However, we cannot tell you any timeframe as to when this option will be added. We also can't tell if our developers will consider this is future. When updates are possible, you'll surely receive a notification via this thread.

    Thanks

By the way, after you integrate your form to Facebook. Your form notification settings will capture and create those fields tags in the email body:

    Thank you!

Thanks Welvin, I already know about Facebook Integration. What I need is the part of pre-populating fields with information from Facebook.

I hope the developers can implement it.

    Thanks again.
