How can I have membership data auto-populate into my checkout/upload form?Asked by niesdm on October 22, 2013 at 12:27 PM
I've seen several forum posts that touch on this theme, and was hoping there was some new guidance on site-member auto-population.
I'm developing a wordpress membership site with a checkout, pay, and upload file form. I need the form to auto-populate with site member/customer data. I haven't yet chosen a membership plugin, so if there's one that supports this functionality I'll certainly choose it. So...
Can this be done?
Is there a plugin for wordpress that will work better than others?
Is there another way to accomplish this such as pulling from a Dropbox or Google Drive database?
How do I go about getting started?
(Additionally, I'm not wedded to wordpress, if anyone has a recommendation on another DITY or e-commerce platform that will support membership forms, file uploads during checkout, and having the files sent to dropbox or Google Drive I'd love to hear about it.)
I assume you are talking about the Wordpress self hosted version, rather than the Wordpress.com
We have provided several workarounds on regards to sending Form Data to MYSql database
However, you are proposing an opposite elaborated scenario, as you want to retrieve data from your membership e-commerce platform to the form. As for the moment this is not possible with any of our Wordpress plugins
However, I think you could develop an app and then play with our JotForm API in order to share data to and from your Wordpress database.
Let us know if you come up with this and we can assign a developer who can help you to integrate your Wordpress app with JotForm
Thanks Jeanette! So that I'm sure I know how this works, do you have app developers on staff that work on these issues for a fee? Whom should I contact, and how?
Actually we do not have enough manpower to develop apps for wordpress for even a fee. However, if you find out someone who can do that for you and then you have your app or CRM ready to integrate with JotForm API then we can assign a developer to help with this integration
Let me know what you think or when you are ready to do this and our developers will gladly assist you
