- stretchandstapleAsked on October 22, 2013 at 07:16 PMCan you please create a minimum file size requirement in the upload tool?
- CesarAnswered on October 22, 2013 at 07:31 PM
Hello, I will go ahead and escalate a ticket for your Feature Request. Unfortunately I cannot state if the feature will be implemented or when this implementation would take place. Nevertheless, your input in regards to a minimum file size allowed option on the upload tool is very valuable and it's implementation should first be evaluated by our Development Team. Once we have any updates from them, they should be posting their updates on this thread. Thank you.

Awesome. Thank you.
- CesarAnswered on October 22, 2013 at 07:34 PM
You are welcome,
If you need further support on any other issue, kindly create a new thread, Thank you.
- stretchandstapleAnswered on November 25, 2013 at 08:35 PM
This was originally requested nearly two years ago, it doesn't seem like it would be that challenging for your developers.
- CesarAnswered on November 25, 2013 at 10:14 PM
I do apologize for the delay, unfortunately between the extensive feature request list and the day to day functions, our Development Team is hard at work making JotForm a better place.
At this time, the feature has already been set on the list and is currently awaiting to be assigned to one of the Developers for further analysis. Once they do have any updates on their end in regards to this request, this will let us know through this thread. Thank you.

Can I get an update on this it has been 4 months since I originally asked for it, and I am not the only person asking for this. I would like for you to read this email so you can better understand the headaches I have to deal with because you don't have this feature.
Yes I did receive your message the other day just have been very busy with work. I appreciate you reaching out to me. Maybe in the future you should set some standards or at least make customer aware as to what size and type of image needs to be upload. Was just very frustrating because how was I to know that as you said "This is a low resolution file and it is below our minimum standards for printing, which is why it is blurry and pixelated ".
I deal with these types of emails on a daily basis. our form does say that there is a minimum resolution required, but people don't read it and then they send us emails like this. This person also left us a two star review on google because of this.
- stretchandstapleAnswered on February 20, 2014 at 08:17 PM
Please do this so I don't have to leave you a 2 star review.
- CesarAnswered on February 20, 2014 at 09:40 PM
Thank you for your input. I do see this issue is still in queue for review of development. We do apologize for the inconvenience this may have brought you. The Dev Team has not yet provided any updates on this request due to their extensive list of tasks they are handleling.
Once they have an update on this request the will let us know through this thread. Thank you.
- stretchandstapleAnswered on February 21, 2014 at 05:44 PM
You know that is the same response you guys gave me two months ago. How long does it need to sit in a queue before someone looks at it. There are a number of people asking for this, can you please escelate this request. I don't feel like this should be that complicayed.

Hi, as my colleague Cesar stated on October 22,2013, this is a feature request, and we can not state if the feature will be implemented or when this implementation would take place. I see the ticket for this request is still open, so the request has not been rejected yet.
- stretchandstapleAnswered on March 04, 2014 at 08:20 PM
Any updates, or perhaps a workaround?
- JotForm SupportjonathanAnswered on March 04, 2014 at 09:56 PM
I would like to inform you that we have no updated response yet from our developer assigned.
There is such a sample code here. Basically, the code will check the file size of the upload file, then, just create condition to prevent it from being uploaded if it is below the minimum allowed file size.
Hope this help.

any updates on this yet?
- JotForm SupportEltonCrisAnswered on June 04, 2014 at 02:45 AM
I am truly sorry but there is no update available about this request as of now. This feature request is currently mark as "nice to do" as of checking the ticket, so it is most likely not to be implemented in a short period of time unless there's a trending request related to this.
While we anticipate for our developers reply, we would be happy to assist you with creating a workaround. Note that this involves modifying your form source code so you have to use your form source code when embedding it to your page. Is this the form you want to apply the minimum file size function http://www.jotformpro.com/form/21235417416952? Please let us know if you want to continue with the workaround and which form you're going to use it.
We'll look forward to your reply.
Thanks and Regards!

Well it has been nearly a year since I requested this and there are several other threads asking for the same thing, can we please make this available.
If you can limit the maximum you should be able to limit the minimum. It shouldn't take one of your developers long to accomplish this. I think I have waited long enough!
- JotForm SupportjonathanAnswered on August 18, 2014 at 07:30 PM
Thank you for updating us. Unfortunately, this request ticket had not been updated in a while, possibly due to no too high position in the priority list.
I will also make a follow-up comment on your behalf to our dev team.

Though it does not appear that this request has been given a high priority, I went ahead and requested an update to see if this is something we intend to add or not. My colleague also sent a request for an update. Due to our large backlog of feature requests we may not implement this in the near future and I can not give you a date as to when or if we will add this.
- stretchandstapleAnswered on November 12, 2014 at 09:33 AM
Just wanted to check in and see if this has gotten anywhere lately? There are lots of people asking for this in many different threads. As you can see from my post on August 18th.
- JotForm SupportliyamAnswered on November 29, 2014 at 09:09 PM
I've just added the feature to set minimum file size limits on forms. You should be able to set it when clicking properties on the file upload field, when editing your form.
Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.
- JotForm SupportjonathanAnswered on November 30, 2014 at 06:52 PM
I created a separate thread for your question here http://www.jotform.com/answers/467184
We will attend to it as soon as we can.
