    Auto respond email question for referrals

    Hello!

     

    I wanted to make sure I am doing the steps correctly.

    For the QR form, we added a new condition for NEMSA email inquires where we would like the person being referred to receive an automatic email to apply.

    Do I edit the automatic email response saved in my email alerts or do I make a Thank You email alert that will be sent to the email address inputed in the NEMSA email inquiries box?

    Hello. After checking up on the conditions and autoresponder settings, it seems that everything is setup properly and should work fine without any problem in regards with email alerts.

    When you create an autoresponder template it is intended to be sent to the email address of the form submitter as an email confirmation or acknowledgement that the form has been submitted successfully. This will always send as long it is mapped to the Email field.

    Please be advised that you have set a condition on the auto responder template.

    With this condition below, the autoresponder will only be sent IF E-mail for NEMSA is filled or has value. Anything other than that rule will not send the autoresponder template.

     

    If there are other reasons that this auto reply should be sent other than the above condition, this could pose a problem of not receiving the reply email.

    The autoresponder email needs to go to the email address that is added to this email option.

    E-mail for NEMSA inquires*

    Whatever email is inputed into that box, should get the autoresponder email to apply to the Academy. I tested the form with my email address and I did not get an autoresponder.

    Hello. Here is your current Autoresponder settings, you may want to double check it first as I see a wrong setting and I based my conclusion from your Condition

    Condition that will send the autoresponder. If the condition is true then it will send. However there is a mistake on this upon checking further. {email} points to "Email" textbox while {emailFor} points to "Email for NEMSA inquiries" textbox. I am not sure if you really want to send it to Email and not NEMSA email. If it is for NEMSA Email then please change it to {emailFor}

     

    This is your autoresponder. As you can see it is currently set to "Email" textbox and not "Email for NEMSA inquiries" textbox. Again, I am not sure if you really want it to send to "Email" textbox and not Nemsa email textbox. But it is worth mentioning to avoid confusion. If you are going to send it to NEMSA then please map it to proper email textbox
