Dropdown Field: Translate the "Please select" default option

My form is in french and I would like to change the placeholder to French. How to do it ?

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to translate the "please select" default option in the dropdown field. I  have forwarded a feature request to our developers to enable translation for the default option.

I have created a feature request ticket and will be forwarding it to our developers to enable the translation for the default option in the dropdown. Please note that we can't give an ETA for when this will be implemented. Feature requests depend on the workloads of our developers and popularity among our users. But rest assured, we will inform you via this thread once this feature becomes available.

This feature was added and is available right now. Check out the steps and screencast below to see how it's done:

1. Go to the Dropdown field's settings
2. And then to the Options tab on the top menu
3. Enable the "Show Text in Empty" option and enter the new placeholder values.
