Is there a way to setup a form that requires a customer enter a specific code / password into a text field before the form will submit.
For example if the wrong code is entered on the form, it will automatically kickback the form as an error.

You might want to take a look at this solution to password protect your form:
This solution entails the use of page breaks in your form. Let me know if you're experiencing difficulties while implementing the said workaround. Thank you for using Jotform.
