How can I get each checkbox to export to its own column, instead of one column with all checked values listed as a single text string?

Asked by joeladams on June 02, 2011 at 08:14 PM

    Checkboxes in form:

    I am a

    []student

    []parent

    []educator

    Current exported results column:

    I am a

    Student
    ParentEducator

    StudentParent

    What I'm looking for:

    Student  Parent  Educator

        X

                    X           X

        X          X

This type of setup will make the tables sortable, and thus usable. Can you help?

    Hi,

Unfortunately, no, there is not a way to accomplish this. Multiple selected options are displayed in multiple lines inside the row it belongs to.

Creating separate columns for checkbox options in report tables would mess up the table layout big time, not to mention it would prove to be a problem with the data handling and organizing, i.e. each field can only have one column entry in the reports.

Hope this post answers your question. Let me know if there's anything else you need to ask. Thank you!
