Filepicker integration questionsAsked by Surfline on November 01, 2013 at 01:53 PM
Is there anyway to add a upload progress bar for the single file upload?
Also, the upload file speed is very slow. Our upload connection speed is 18mbps, a 200mb file took over an hour to upload. We also had issue with the larger files not going through at all (error message), the form went through after a long time stuck in upload, but no file.
I really like the service, the ease of use for form creation, managing incoming uploads and the form embedding, but the low upload filespeed and files not going through at all is could be a deal killer for us.

Thank you for your comments and interests in our Services. Unfortunately with just the " Single File Upload " option we have not yet implemented any feature to do this. The reason is because we already have an optional tool known as " Ink Filepicker " which already supports this function when using it for Single File Uploads. You can also choose Multiple for it if you wish. It shows a progress bar within the Upload Window for the file(s).
You can test this in comparison on this Test Upload Form: http://form.jotform.co/form/33045367891864.
Do we have to pay additional for the Filepicker service? Or is it included with Jotform? I noticed with Filepicker, the uploadded file does not transfer over to Google drive. The test I did with filepicker it was way faster and did not time out on the larger file size. Do we still have the same amount of storage space with filepicker?
As for the jotform single file uploader: I ran a test with a 800mb video file using the single file uploader (not filepicker) and we got a File upload error. I tried both the jotform link and the embedded code.
Here are screenshots:
Hello, the Filepicker tool does not incurr any additional cost. The integration is part of JotForm's service.
FilePicker stores uploaded files on their end, so we do not have any power to control the location where FilePicker will choose to store these files.
That in mind, we can not upload these files to any of our integrations such as Dropbox, Google Drive etc.
If you do need further assistance, do let us know. Thank you.
Do we still have the same amount of storage space when using filepicker?
Can you address the file upload error when not using filepicker?
I will escalate your inquiry about the Filepicker integration to our Development Team.
Also, I am currently testing your form, and trying to reproduce the upload error. I will get back to you once I have any updates.
I have reproduced the error. We can not attach multiple ticket to the same thread, so I have created another ticket about the upload problem:
You can leave a reply on that thread, so that you will be subscribed to updates.
