Dropbox: Different folders and forms together in a folder

Hi, will this be possible with Jotform and Dropbox?

I'm setting up several forms in an administration environment. Our company will rent seminar rooms. So we'll have many contracts, invoices, confirmations etc...
To produce all those documents we'll use Jotform (with different forms).

We want to keep and store all information (and documents) together in Dropbox. And using ONE folder (for each renting) and in this folder different documents.

With documents I mean the subscription of the form and also a PDF-file. We will produce in Jotform a PDF-file for each form.

All these forms below will have one and the same common field: "order number".

    • Form 1: Reservation form
    • Form 2: Order confirmation
    • Form 3: Beverages
    • Form 4: Invoice

What I want to achieve in Dropbox is to have different folders, with the order number as folder name. And inside each folder the documents with the same order number.
(I have setup a small illustration to make it more visible for you)

And also important... this should be done in an automatic process.

    Will this be possible?

Thanks a lot for your advice.

    Hi Ocstokrode,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to create the grouped subfolders path based on the order number that you are looking for within the Dropbox integration.

I will escalate your request as a feature request. Please note that we cannot provide any timeframe when this feature will be implemented. You will be notified on this thread if there is an update.

    Hi Sam

    Thanks for your answer.

But they are no subfolders... Maybe I was unclear.
You have to treat the forms above in my illustration as separate PDF-files

So all the files are individual files.

    - form1.pdf (or formA123.pdf)
    - form2.pdf (or formB123.pdf)
    - form3.pdf (or formC123.pdf)

But into Dropbox there will be many folders (in the root) with all a different name (according to the data in one field of the form)

    So no subfolders.

Will this change the situation? :-)

In our current Dropbox integration, you can only create two folder structures. The main folder, and the submissions folder.

For example, if you set the integration this way:

    1612465521 601c4571f2210 Screenshot 10

It will create the following folder in your Dropbox account:

    1612465594 601c45ba3fdec Screenshot 21

The file uploads and the PDF are saved in the second folder.

If the order number is unique for each submission, you could do it this way. But unfortunately, you will still need to define a static main folder, and select the Order Number field as the second folder.

    Thanks
