    Hi guys,

    great service!

    I would like to point the receiver of the notification mail directly to the file stored in Dropbox.

    I tried to concatenate the prefix (static) with id (worked) and with the file name (FILENAME:UploadA).

    The last part although is not appended to the string.

    Any suggestions?

    Ariel

    Hi,

    I'm afraid that it is not possible to have the dropbox uploaded file link inside your email notification, instead, the link to the file uploaded to our servers will be attached to the email notification.

    The Dropbox integration uploads  files to a non-public dropbox folders so it is not possible to  have a public URL to share.

    Thanks

    @Ariel

    Please feel free to correct me if I've misunderstood your request. What you need is to share the dropbox uploaded file of your form result via the autoresponder email sent to your form users, is that correct?

    If so, I think that wouldn't be possible as it would require to manually add the dropbox link of the uploaded file to the autoresponder email let your users download it. So, you would need to manually change the link of the file, which is not possible.

    Please let us know if you need further assistance

    Thanks

    You can share folders in dropbox, so I can share the form folder with the team. When a file is uploaded - in case I can create a link - I definitely can point to this file.I tried the following://{FILENAME:UploadA}Unfortunately the FILENAME does not come out.Please advice

    Hi,

    After making some tests I managed to create an automatic dropbox link to your uploaded files, however when you follow the link a dropbox notices will appear saying that the file doesn't exists, I'm afraid this behaviour is caused by the way that dropbox generate the links to the uploaded files, it doesn't acts as a normal ftp server not letting the chance to create a standar URL link.

    I'm afraid that you can only generate automatic URL from jotform, linking just to the folder where the dropbox files was uploaded

    Try this on your form(dropbox file doesn't exist alert):

    https://www.dropbox.com/home/JotForm/Send%20to%20my%20Dropbox%20../{id}/{FILENAME:input3}

    This should be the option to link just to the dropboxfolder where the file was uploaded:

    https://www.dropbox.com/home/JotForm/Send%20to%20my%20Dropbox%20../{id}/

    Hope it helps
