User defined amount AND a product in one form

Is it possible to add a user defined amount AND a product to the same form?

I want to sell a product at $10 per item, and then allow customers to add an additional monetary amount (such as $5) as a donation. I can't figure out how to do this, since I have to choose ONE payment type (product or user-defined.)

    Hi there,

    Happy to help!

I think that this may be achievable using a similar solution to what my colleague had detailed in this past thread here: How-do-I-add-Tip-in-the-Payment-Integration

Though I realize that you wouldn't be adding a tip, per se, I believe that this kind of logic could certainly apply to your question.

Please allow me a little time to work on a solution for you, and I will update you in this thread once I have an example for you.

Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding!

This is something I am wondering as well. Currently I have a dropdown from $1 to $10, I would like to let my customers tip a custom amount.
