We have a form that accepts URL parameters to collect some initial information and then collects more information via the form.

There is a property address that is the main concern of the form, and then another mailing address that gets copied from the property address if the user answers a yes/no question about whether it's the same. If the mailing address is the same, it gets copied and is hidden so the user doesn't have to go over it (we're using a cards-style form).

Our problem is that, whenever the user says the mailing address is the same, the state in the mailing address always ends up as Alabama (the first item in the list). The rest of the address is copied fine - just not the state.

I created a simpler form to experiment, and I can't get it to show the same behavior. In fact, it won't save anything under the mailing address if I leave it hidden when the form is submitted. Even if I have a rule to copy the value before the mailing address is hidden, it will always be empty upon submission if it's hidden when the form is submitted.

So I guess I really just want to know why the mailing address would all get filled in except for the state? And how is our form keeping the rest of the information for the mailing address if it's hidden at the end, when it seems you don't keep the hidden values?

I'm not sure I should give the link to the original form I'm debugging, since this will be public.
The test form I created is here:

It's because your form settings has the "Clear hidden fields value" on submit. This means that all hidden fields won't get any vaue.

Try changing it to "Don't Clear", that should resolve your issue.
