The messages in the "Thank You" page was cut off at the bottom.

    Hello Elizabeth,

    I would like to ask if you're still experiencing the same issues, as I wasn't able to replicate your situation. Upon doing a test submit, I was redirected to your form's Thank You message but I didn't encounter any problem with it.

    Hi Elizabeth

    Initially, from what you stated, I expected to not see the entire Thank You message after submitting a clone of the form. However, after observing the difference between what is shown in the Thank You Page wizard's editor and what obtained on the live page, I realized what you meant: Line breaks not preserved and extra spaces trimmed.

    To overcome this problem, do the following:

    1. Copy [Ctrl+C] this code

    2. Go into the Thank You Page wizard's editor and click the "Edit HTML Source" button:


    3. Click the code and select all [Ctrl+A] of it and then paste [Ctrl+V] what was earlier copied

    4. Click "Update" then "Finish" and finally save the form


    Please let us know if the resulting live thank you page is what you wanted or if you require further assistance with this or other aspects of our forms. We'd be happy to help.

    Hi Elizabeth,

    Check out this clone of your form and do a test submit to see if the Thank you message looks good enough for you.

    Feel free to copy the whole thank you message by pressing CTRL-A (select all) in the clone's Thank You Page Wizard then copying the text and pasting it over your original form's Thank You message.

    I can copy your text messages but cannot paste to my Thank You form. 

    My Thank You form is by default, there is Thank You message with HTML code.  Unless I change the HTML source code.

    By the way when I open my Order Form, I have to different names -

    one is "Order Form", the other is "Clone of Order Form". What does that mean "Clone of Order Form".

    Hi Elizabeth

    To address your last post first, a clone of a form is an exact copy or replica of the original form minus its submissions. There are two types of cloning processes, as explained in the following links:

    How to Clone a Form from a Web Page

    How to Clone an Existing Form

    The titles of those links might be a bit of confusing because both types of forms are in fact existing forms. (They couldn't be cloned if there was nothing to clone in the first place!) What's more, both other users' forms and your own can be cloned from a web page. I believe the capability to clone one's own forms from a dropdown was incorporated into the "New Form" dialog box merely as a convenience.

    What's puzzling however is that you have a clone of a form in your account that you apparently didn't put there. Is that right?

    Anyway, as you will see when you next log in to your account, I just made two test submissions: The first was via the clone and the other via the original form. The success page I saw with the first submission was the default JotForm Thank You message. The message I saw after performing the second submission was the one with which you're having problems formatting. (Of course, I reset your submission count to what it was before I ran these tests.)

    To simplify matters, would you mind if I corrected the format of the message for you?

    The following message (presumedly from elizteo) recently showed up in my inbox:

     

    Am I right to say the clone means (make another copy as backup). They are actually the same form.

    Each time when I make changes, must I always click the submission to Jotform?

    Okay, that's a lot of topics for one thread. So, for now, as requested, I have corrected the format of your original form's thank you message and deleted the untitled form. I have also taken the liberty of emptying your trash because old forms there have been known to cause problems.

    Please do a test submission via your original form which can be found at http://www.jotform.com/form/11262238868 (not to be confused with the clone which is at a different address) and let us know if the thank you page is okay now.

    Yes, the message on the Thank You page is ok except to amend spelling, there should be a "s" "Advance Lifestyles".

    But the message was not downloaded on the website.

    Now the website is downloaded but the jotform does not have the messages.

    Can you also use the original colour of the "Thank You".  The one that is the default colour looks nicer.

    Thanks, tested and it looks better now.  Can you put some colour to "Thank You"

    The other problem is, it is not Left justify when I received the particulars/reply from the buyers.

    What about the "Postage & Packing $0.50" that I mentioned before, where can I insert that fee?  Maybe we can place it after the Total Amount.

    Hi elizteo,

    Thank you for posting your inquiry. At this time, you cannot add a separate section for computing and showing tax details. We apologize for the inconvenience. However, a workaround that you can do is to include the tax amount into your item price. For example, if an item costs $50 and tax is 5%, the total item price in your form will become $52.50. Just indicate in the product notes that the price shown already includes tax.

    You can edit the Thank You message by clicking the Thank You button located at your toolbar's Setup & Embed tab. From there, you can use the text editor toolbar to make changes in text color, size, style, etc.

    The left-justify issue with the email notification template should also now be fixed. Please see the resulting email message when I made some minor changes and tested it to my own mailbox.

    Hi Elizabeth,

    Sorry, I meant to say shipping/postage also, but the same principle applies in the workaround I first suggested. 

    Regarding abbreviating the word Quantity to Qty, you can do that by going to the Payment Tool Wizard (click the wand icon), then click Next button until you reach the product list screen of the wizard. Then click a product [A] and then the pencil icon [C]. And finally, edit the Name field [B] from Quantity to Qty.

    Hi Elizabeth

    Since a postage and packing fee of $0.50 will be applied to the total order instead of each product, it will have to be added at the end after the total amount is computed. Currently, the only way I can think of to accomplish that is to insert a Free Text (HTML) field immediately under the purchase order field with text similar to "Please add $0.50 for postage and packing".

    As requested, I have updated your form to include the free text (HTML) field containing the text about adding $0.50 to the total. I also noticed that you were attempting to change the background color of the heading to a light orange with the following injected CSS:

    .form-header-group {
    color: light orange;
    }

    There are two reasons why that method did not work: "light orange" is not one of the 147 named colors defined in HTML, and even if it was, the names would have had to be joined: lightOrange or lightorange. Anyway, I took the liberty to change both the background color and color of the text in that field for you. If you don't like the colors, you can always change them to something you prefer.

    I think it is a bit too dark, a light pink would be better to match the
    border.

    I've changed the color of the header's background to light pink. Of course, the text had to be changed from white. Either that or a drop shadow would have had to have been applied which would have looked really cool but doing so would have been impractical due to lack of support in older browsers and the extra code that would have been required to accommodate IE.

    Hope you like the new colors. If you don't, they can easily be changed by editing the injected CSS (Setup & Embed > Preferences > Form Styles > Inject Custom CSS). Below is the form's current injected CSS. Edit the background color by changing the parts highlighted in red and change the color of the text by changing the part highlighted in green:

    .form-header-group {
    color:#000000;
    background-color:#FFE9DC;
    border-color:#FFE9DC;
    }
    #id_2 {
    padding-bottom:0;
    }
    #id_9 {
    margin-top:-10px;
    padding-top:0;
    }

    I too posted a question about my form getting cut off and I believe maybe there is one more too. Can you tell us why they are cut off and how to fix it so that all users can benefit from the forum? As nice as this exchange is, I am too dumb to be able to figure out if it would even help me anyway. I love Jotform. I'm just having a few technical difficulties. :-)
