Spam forms affecting monthly limit

    Hello,

I work for a nonprofit that seeks to connect persecuted artists to assistance. Artists contact us via Jotform because it is encrypted. However, we have been getting swarms of spam contact forms lately, and I am concerned that they have caused actual requests to go unseen. For instance, over the last month we were notified of over 100 Jotform submissions in our email. However, it appears that we've had less forms in our inbox than that. We previously had the $5/month plan but just upgraded. Does that mean that if we reached our monthly limit due to spam, Jotform submissions that weren't spam just disappeared? We want to be sure we aren't missing anyone due to storage limits or submission limits.

    Thanks so much.

    Best,

    Gabe & the ARC Team

    Hello Gabe,

If you had crossed the limit of the free account then the extra submissions would be deleted.

Are you receiving Spam submissions in your form?

If yes, then you may add these to prevent spam submissions.

1)you may consider switching a Unique Submission option to 'Check cookies only' or 'Check cookies and IP'.

2)You may add a Captcha. You may check the following guide: How-to-Add-a-Captcha-Field

3)Also, what you can use is getting the email verified. In this way, it would be an additional step for a spammer. First, they'll need to enter a valid email address, then make an actual verification of it using the link inside of the e-mail HTML body.

Here are some of the e-mail validation/ verified widgets that you can use in this case:

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks.
