    How to limit product stocks on paypal payment gateway?

    I've created some buttons with Paypal to sell tickets to an event.  I have set the quanity which buyers are allowed to purchase but I cannot find out how to limit the quantity available.

     

    Example:

    Each buyer can buy "1" ticket but there are only 84 tickets available.  How do I update this so my event cannot be oversold?

    Hello,

    Upon checking on paypal payment gateway options, I am afraid there is no way to limit the product like (stocks left).

    However, the workaround to make a limit on the purchase is to allow "one ticket per form submission" only and add a submission limit on your form. 

    And your user won't be able to choose a quantity. They have to purchase one ticket per form submission.

    If this can work for you please let us know and we'll be glad to walk you through the process on how to achieve this.

    Unforutnately this doesn't solve my problem.  I see how this would theoretically work for a small event.

    The problem I anticipate is overselling and event without a quantity limit.

    In my previous example I need to make 84 tickets available because I expect 300 people attempting to purchase.  I need the ability to have an event "Sold Out."

    Unfortunately, this is not currently available, however, I will be opening a ticket to request it, and if an increasing number of people request the same thing, our developers might consider to add it in the next round of integrations.
