    My form is https://form.jotform.com/200770704712852

I wish to have from "Match Details......onwards" printed on a separate page on the PDF attachment that goes to my email recipients. Is this possible and how do I do it please?

Yes it is possible to achieve your requirement. Please take advantage of our PDF Editor to edit your PDF document and add a page break field in the desired location which will move the fields to a new page. Please check the screenshot below:

Doesn't work for me or perhaps I have done it wrong. Trying to correct this has caused me problems because I have not seemed to have lost the old style attached email PDF form. It is far superior for what I wish as it doesn't print out headings and picture that are not wanted. Configurable Lists (widget) don not look good at all in the new style PDF so please can you advise how I can still use the old style pdf as originally sent to you and put in a printed page break?

Not happy with new style at all in this instance as it doesn't suit? Maybe I have it all wrong and just having a seniors moments but not working for me. I await your reply eagerly.

    Hi there,

Here is the link to the test PDF document in your PDF-Editor.

    https://www.jotform.com/pdf-editor/10210408199409054

I've created a clone of your form and created a short screencast to show you how it is done by simply dragging the page break.

    1613017038_6024afcee7389_1test.gif

We can also do it for you in your PDF document if you allow us.

    Thanks

I want this to be done on the old styled PDF attachment as mentioned in my previous reply. This seems to have disappeared yet I was able to originally do it as per the screen dump in my first post above. Can this still be done and how to I set it up - previously we were able to choose? Can you set me up to use the old PDF format please because Configurable Lists (widget) do not look good at all in the new style PDF so please can you advise how I can still use the old style pdf as originally sent to you and put in a printed page break?

Please note that the old PDF editor has been depreciated, and it is not possible to use the old PDF editor anymore.

In the new PDF editor you can change the question alignment to top for configurable list widget and see if it displays it correctly. Please check the screenshot below:

    1613025968_6024d2b038f7e_configurableLis

You can also change the page size of the PDF layout as well to increase the width and configurable list widget will be displayed correctly.

Please try it out and get back to us if you have any questions.

So disappointing that you can't have the old style PDF attachment as an option because as I have stated double up headings are now shown which aren't in the old style? I now have a picture and information that is only there for input which again didn't show on the old pdf format? Not happy with all of this. I had an almost perfectly good form used by many that provided a excellent print out without excess data that is not needed!

So how can you help if you won't allow the option of both pdf formats. Firstly, how do I get rid of double headings and unwanted images repeating because they are in the original form. Surely I don't have to delete them from the form? Surely this problems has happened before because of changed pdf formats?

Secondly, I did as suggested for the configurable list and it is better however, I am not sure how to make the pdf printout wider and still remaining on the page - do I have to make the form wider?

Thirdly, do I need to change the 70px to a larger size and if so how much larger in the css?

Could you change the form to fix my problems cloning it with the changes?

Sorry to be a pain but the simple plainer format worked best for me and just a tad upset that I am forced to use the more detailed version when it causes me problems,

    Regards

Sorry, but as my colleague mentioned, the old PDF editor is no longer available so you will need to use our new PDF Editor. We can clone your form and apply the changes there if you wish so you can copy the CSS code or settings we applied to the PDF.

However, can you please send us a screenshot of the header or the repeating field you want to remove in the PDF? It is better if we have a visual and detail for your requirements, that way we can be sure of what to do.

    Looking forward to your response.

Would appreciate a clone of my form fixed as required if possible. Wider PDF would get all the Configurable List data on the page. Last page of PDF is only input information and not required on the PDF so would love it to be removed - it never appeared on the old PDF format? Thank you for helping to fix my form with the new PDF formant. Screenshots attached -

Much better but still some problems. following screen dumps -

    1613361270_6029f07658125_Screenshot (15)

Can pdf page be wider - i.e. margins closer to the edge so that words in titles and text can be full length with no hyphens?

    1613361511_6029f16765028_Screenshot (14)

I think they will but do {field names} show in emailed PDF, if not can you alter according to show?

    1613362588_6029f59c12844_Screenshot (16)

This is how it looked in old PDF format which shows the words in titles and text as one word. Also the links which work in the Old PDF but don't seem to in the new PDF format because the link goes onto the next line. Can you get these to work in the new PDF format please?

Thanks for all your help we are nearly there but still annoyed as all worked previously when we had the option of using both old and new formats for PDF. Old format I had no problems - New format things don't seem to work as well.

    Cheers

I have increased the width of the PDF by removing the margins of the PDF document. Please check your PDF document and see if it displays the fields correctly: https://www.jotform.com/pdf-editor/200770704712852

If you want to further increase the PDF width, we can change the page size to A3 and that will fix all the issue you are having with the word wrap.

{field names} will not be displayed when you download the PDF document, they will be replaced by the value of the field. You can test this by clicking on the preview button of PDF. Please check the screenshot below:

This is much better thank you. However, you didn't advise on the link problem in the new PDF format I provided a screen dump of the old form with a link which works (see previous message sent). It doesn't work in the new format? It looks like they need to be in one complete line not with screen wrap. Can you fix this please?

I have found out another alternative, rather that changing to A3 mode, is to change to Landscape layout. A3 mode reduces the font size making it hard to read but changing to Landscape mode keeps the same font size.

Another problem I expect I have is that all the other forms that I used the old PDF format for will not work successfully in the new PDF format.

Please why can't you give everyone the option of both format as you used to? I have devoted many hours of programing and form construction time to get forms to work and that seems to be for nothing now as I have to change many to suit the new form. Can you ask management about this? I understand that the newer format is much better for many applications and is technical a great improvement but the simpler old format worked well in so many applications where flash print outs were not needed.

I appreciate all your help with my problems and thank you for nearly fixing my PDF problems but I fear that is for just one form and I will have many problems with so many other forms used on a regular basis.

Do you mean to say that you want the "Insert link to clip (if any)" to be displayed in one single line? Unfortunately it is currently not possible to change the width of the columns of a configurable list widget.

If you change the width of the PDF document, it will solve your problem. Even if in the landscape mode of with reduced margin or in A3 page, it should display the fields correctly.

Do you want us to change the PDF in the landscape mode, and we will do the needful?

Finally, how do I change the source code of my form to accommodate your changed pdf work you have done?

You do not have to do any changes in your form. The PDF that we changed is directly in your form's PDF editor. When you download the submission PDF, you just need to select the appropriate PDF to download. Please check the screenshot below:

The reason inserting a link has to be in one line on the form is that is the only way it will work as if the link wraps around and goes to a second line is the link will not work as it only links to one line. Surely this problem has happened before? It worked with wrap around in the old PDF format but will not work in the new PDF format. So I guess the easiest way to fix this problem for every customer is to put it into landscape mode or if they can handle smaller print in their PDF in A3 size? So, yes, could you put it in landscape mode please.

Lastly, will any new input for a new report automatically attach to both responder email and notification email? This is important as both the person entering data into the form and a colleague have to receive output copies.

Thanks again for all your help but still can’t understand why you are not able to allow customers to use both formats for PDF attachments if that is what is requested by customers as you had this feature previously and I used both for different applications. Alternatively, fix the new format to make it easier and fix its shortcomings without have to resort to having to use work arounds like changing to A3 size or Landscape orientation.
