JotForm Tables: Add a field when adding a column to the Tables page.

I am stuck adding a column to a form. Some of the fields are there, but when I add a new one, they are not. I am aware that creating a new widget or box on the form will populate the table. Also, on for example a multiple choice inventory item, how to add items.

    Thanks

    Greetings,

I'm not sure if I understand correctly you would like to add a column to your JotForm table and not to your form right, because you have shared a screenshot of your Table, so I'm assuming this.

If you want the new column to be the last in JotForm Tables, click the Add button in the top right corner of the table.

    Add Button Screenshot 10

You can also add a column to the far right side of the table by clicking the Columns button just above the table and then clicking the Add a new column option.

For your question regarding the Item, I'm not sure If I understand correctly. The item will be added according to the answer of the submitters said, or if you have a dropdown field with several options of the item, the item that they have chosen will appear on your table.

Please note that the table is not for creating Excel documents, it's for reading your submissions that you will receive in a more organized way. You cannot add entry and write inside the cells because this is made for the answers given by the respondent.

Regarding the sub type, I mean specifically to add another state in the example below. It almost seems like I would have to redo a column if I missed a state.
Also, per my second part, once I add another column, then select “form” or “edit form”, the newly created “column” does not show up.
    Thanks

It's not needed to add a new column to edit the options, you can edit the preferences of the current one to add options if you want:

Regarding to add the column as field to the form, this is not possible at the moment, adding a column to the Table will not add the field to the web form, we can open a feature request for this, kindly confirm, so we can proceed with this.

    Thanks.

Yes, I would like that please..
I am a little confused as some of the columns seem to populate the “form” when I select “edit”. Yes newly created ones don’t.
Also, do you have someone that I could get some build advice from? Inventory management is the goal. Small amount of parts. About 40 customers.
Do you have people in house that I can work with?
    Thanks

Some of them have “edit column preferences”, some do not. Look at the very bottom of the screen shot, you’ll see “storage C”, how do I add Storage D?

I've opened a feature request to reflect the columns added on JotForm Tables as fields on your form, although we cannot provide an ETA, we will keep you updated via this ticket.

Also, the reason why you don't find the edit option on that column is due to the fact this is a field on your form, so you need to edit the options from the field fields:

We may however open a new feature request so you can edit the options directly on the JotForm Tables page.
