How can I create a matrix that has 4 rows and 2 columns whereby you can only choose maximum 2 column options from one of the 4 rows?Asked by vday on November 09, 2013 at 04:50 AM
I have created a matrix with 4 rows and 2 columns.
My 4 rows are:
Math Clas Row 1
Physics Class Row 2
Language Class Row 3
Biology Class Row 4
My 2 columns options are;
First choice class (column 1)
Backup choice class (column 2)
For each of the above 4 options, I can only choose one column option - my first column choice. Then if my first column choice is not available, then I select a second choice from the 4 option rows which becomes my second (backup) column choice.
At present, I can only set a requirement that at least one choice is selected from one of the two columns for EVERY row so in the end I have 4 choices from column 1 or 2 for EACH row of four rows.
But what I really require is that people can only click on maximum of 2 choices - first choice from the 4 rows (represented in column 1) and second choice (backup choice) from the 4 rows , represente din column 2.
Please HELP :))
You may consider using the reverse method?. Move "Rows" options to "Columns" and Vice Versa.
OR, use Radio button fields and use the values from your rows as the options. See example above.
