i need to get a single 15 digit number (first character a letter) from clients but would like to split the question into 3 seperate parts. First (for example) A1234 Second 12345 Third 12345. I would also like to set a minimum character amount (ie. must be 5 alpha-numeric characters or cannot proceed).

You can use our Text Box field then enable "Input Masking". From Input Masking properties, you can build your field into three boxes using a separator, either a dash or a slash. Then use symbol "@" to mask letter inputs and symbol "#" to mask number inputs. See screenshot:
