I have a form which product online shop it has to many items so too slow.

I have a form with over 300 items what would be the best way to have the products split into categories which could mean say 10 no forms. Would i be better forgetting the shop and use dropdown with thumbnail pictures if possible or maybe theres a way to put the choices from different categories onto master form. Please help i was so impressed until i found out how slow my computer has come. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
