    How do I prevent screen magnification with iOS7?

    Asked by JerryWinter on November 11, 2013 at 11:14 PM

    On the iPhone app I'm prototyping JotForm insists on magnifying the web page, causing the user to lose perspective on the form. This doesn't seem to happen on an iPad. Any way to make it stop?

    Hi Jerry,

    Do you mean to say the form stops appearing or it just don't display some of its parts? I'm not exactly sure if I got your question correctly but you may try my suggestions below.

    1. First, re-embed your form using only the iframe embed code.

    <iframe id="JotFormIFrame" onload="window.parent.scrollTo(0,0)" allowtransparency="true" src="//form.jotform.co/form/33147990229864" frameborder="0" style="width:100%; height:694px; border:none;" scrolling="no"></iframe>

    2. Add the following meta code below <head> tag of your page. This disables the user's ability to zoom in general on their mobile device. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're looking.

    <meta content='width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0, maximum-scale=1.0, user-scalable=0' name='viewport' />

    <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width" />

    3. You may also try to inject the following CSS codes to your form so the two column fields (shrunken fields) won't moved down when viewed on mobile. Guide: How to Inject Custom CSS Codes to your Form

    @media only screen and (max-device-width: 550px){

    .form-line {padding-right:0 !important;}

    }

    If none of these helps, please let us know here. If you could provide a screenshot about the problem, that would be a big help on resolving this issue.

    Thank you!
