How do I make a matrix radio buttons to meet a certain condition?

Asked by vday on November 12, 2013 at 10:59 AM

I would like to set conditions for the matrix radio buttons in the question  Please only choose your primary and secondary elective choices.

This is found in my live form http://www.jotformeu.com/form/33122177426348?

I'd like to implement the condition that the primary and secondary radio buttons cannot be selected for the same column label.

So for example, I cannot chooose the primary and secondary choice radio buttons within the column labelled 'role of supervision in best practice'. Similarly, I do not want this ability to choose both buttons for primary and seconary choices for ANY column choices. Therefore, people can only select one primary row choice from one column, and a secondary row choice from another column.

    Many thanks

    Thanks for contacting us.

Unfortunately that kind of condition is not possible to accomplish with our alreday existing rules and conditions. In addition our Matrix radio buttons are separated by rows:

So, you can prevent choosing more than one option with radio buttons only if all the radio buttons are part of the same group or row of radio buttons.

However, I think the possibility exists that you can accomplish what you need by using the form source code and applyin some codding workaround. You can learn how to get the form source code by following this guide: how to get your form source code
