How to create a Form showing statistics by selecting a game?

I do some rugby stat's for my local 1st XV rugby team. They play (around) 15 games per season. The coach watches the video of the game and enters stat's using a jotform I created. (Example: https://form.jotform.com/202480145677861) I then analyse and report on the stat's using Google Sheets.

You'll see that the first area covers substitutions, to ensure I can get gametime for each player, to help stat's to be more relevant. I'm ok with this area, I think it works ok.

The next blocks are sets of 5 identical blocks, allowing the coach to enter stat's as they happen while he is watching the game video, and submitting after he's entered five. This saves him having to submit over and over again, particularly when there might be 3-4 stats in a short time period. Again, I'm kind of ok with how this has been crudely built and works. When a player's name is selected, it defaults to the position he generally plays, which is again helpful for the stat's relevance. There is also an option to select "TEAM", which opens up a separate section to record TEAM stat's.

    PROBLEM | AREA FOR IMPROVEMENT

The main thing I'd like some input | assistance with, is the fact that at present, I need to create a separate form for each game played. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could have one form where the coach selects the game at the start, and then that game defaults through each submission of blocks of 5 stat's, without him having to select the game each time?

This would also assist me where if there are changes to the team | positions, I don't need to create a whole lot of new amended forms with the conditional logic amendments required etc.

Happy to hear any other general modifications to the form that clever Jotform experts may suggest, too!! :)

Thank you very much in advance to anyone who takes the time to respond - please let me know if anything needs to be clarified!

    Hi,

It is possible to achieve what you have in mind using only 1 form. However, I would like to tell you that the coach has to select the game each time before sending in a submission.

You can add the drop-down buttons on your form ( to your players' or each categories ) , and use filters in tables to view submissions per each game.

You can see this guideline which shows you how to set up a filters in the tables of your submission - How to Use Different Filters to Easily Manage Your Data in JotForm Tables.

Please see how you can incorporate such drop-down and filter features to your tables and form, and if you have difficulties or questions regarding it, Please do not hesitate to ask. We will be more than happy to assist you.

Thanks "Jong_P". I was hoping there might be some way round entering the game as a separate question, but never mind!

Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my query!!
