I am looking for a way to authorize payment and hold it until after an appt?

    I made a form for appointmentt check in with payment authorization only, no charge to go through until after the appt -- through square... but I tried it myself and it looks like payment does go through? or if not, how can I charge it through after the appt is finished and all charges are set? Is there a different way to do that? Because every appointment is different, but I want to have people enter in payment info so I have it, to make it easier to run through after the appt is over. please advise, thank you! Carrie

    Payment authorization is available with Square Payment Processor. The Payment Authorization feature will only capture the information. In order to charge the card, you will need to manually do it through your Square account dashboard.

    I do not see anywhere on the square website, nor in the submission form sent through email or through jotform where I can run the payment through? I did it myself and put in my card number to test it, but there is no where that I can see to follow through with payment. where would it be on the square dashboard? Is it not showing up online or in email bc of the HIPAA compliance? If so, can you take that off of my account, I don't really need it being a veterinarian. I thought it would be nice but it seems like it's more hassle than anything

    I also submitted another question because my New Patient Form does not allow entry in any of the fields. please help!!

    Hi,

    Please go to the form that has the Square settings and enabled the "Authorization Only".

    The user is going to make a payment, and you can charge the user later, you are going to receive an email like this:
