Assign someone a number on a wait list form?

Hello, is there a way to notify someone signing up on our wait list form what their number is in line? I integrated our wait list with Google Sheets so I can see their wait list number on my end. Thank you.

You can try:

Create 2 Forms. Form-1 where the users submit their data, Form-2 displays the wait list (Google sheets)

• When the user submit the form, Form-1 Thank you page displays the Form-2 URL address and a message that inform the user to visit the link for wait list notification.
• Form-2 can use iFrame embed widget to embed document to your form. Related guide https://www.jotform.com/widgets/iframe-embed

You can also add the Form-2 URL address and other messages to the autoresponder email that will be sent to them.

Thank you. For the Form-2, would it show everybody's names who have already been added to the wait list? Or is there a way to only show that individual their wait list number? I do not want everybody's names to show up.

I'm afraid there is no way we can filter the embedded iframe to show only current respondent wait list number.

To clarify, the first entry will have the wait list number of 1 then will be followed by 2 and so on, right?

If so, perhaps you can use our Unique ID widget > Set Unique ID Generation Method as Sequential Numbers > Set current Index to 0. Then, include Unique ID widget field value to the autoresponder email sent to respondents.

Thank you. I don't think this will fit our requirement because we also manually add names to our wait list when people call in. Please let me know if there is another option.

If that is the case, I suggest you to follow my colleague's first suggestion though the embedded iFrame will show the full list as we cannot retrieve data from Google Sheet to Jotform to know which line the submission already is.

Or, you can perhaps add new people by filling the form itself (not Google Sheet) and follow the suggestion I have given above.
