Sell Tickets widget: Can I separate widget items?

    Thanks. in another thread, is it possible to pass ticket widget entries into substrings. for example, I sell 3 separate items in the ticket widget. the widget has 1 input id. how do I act separately on the separate entries?

    Hi,

    Could you let us know which form are you referring to?
    What would be the reason for separating the entries, or how do you want to handle them as separate?
    Would it be for calculations on the form, or to handle them as separate entries in the submissions?

    So I answered the first question myself, and the answer is yes.

    Now, I am trying to prepopulate the ticket widget. I want to reduce inventory based on user input. They select a ticket ( i am using it as date) ... so it would be an arrival date. I send this result to an "arrival" datepicker. the widget hides, the user sees a departure Datepicker . subtract arrival from departure send it to number of nights. add number of nights to arrival, and use some substrings to send individual numbers to "something??" to bring back to the ticket widget to prepopulate those dates. that way the original night, and all other nights get reduced in inventory

    Hi,

    Thank you for the detailed description.
    I believe that you want to use the inventory to make the reserved nights unavailable, is that correct?
    Do you have multiple accommodations available for the same nights, or just one?

    We also have a Date Reservation widget, that allows easy reservations for dates. I am wondering whether the widget would suit your needs? If you haven't already taken a look at it, you can find the widget here: Date-reservation

    Please see check the widget, and if it would not suit your needs, it's possible to use the inventory as you described.

    Sorry to be rude, you guys need to understand..... some of us work for others. we ask questions, and sometimes wait hours and hours for the answer. I spent 10 minutes writing it, so that it would be crystal clear. at least I thought it was. ..... maybe not. lets try again. Can you prepopulate a ticket widget? please do not ask why. just answer the question yes or no. Thanks

    Hi,

    I apologize for the confusion.
    Before implementing the inventory, I wanted to confirm if there would be an easier way of using the other widget.

    We also understand your frustration with sometimes having to wait for a long time for the answer, we try to answer all questions as soon as possible, but sometimes when the forum gets crowded, the waiting time can increase.

    Regarding the Ticket Purchases widget, it is not possible to prepopulate the widget.

    Thanks. I'll stop chasing the ticket widget then. now, about the other one..

    I am essentially trying to put 365 days in ...... a calendar year. I might do it over 12 separate widgets, and show hide depending on month selected. A user selects the month, then arrival. the arrival date gets reduced from inventory. will the reservation widget let me reduce the inventory based on the user selection. I dont want the user to have to select each night. just the arrival, and departure. ... then, i want to take out the ones in between. can that be done? in other words, user makes two entries...... and reserves 10 nights potentially. any thoughts. Thanks
