Is it possible to modify the subject heading of the email submission so that it's unique to each person who submits a photo?

We use this form so that our students can submit ID photos for preprinted ID cards; we receive thousands of submissions a year. The emails are sent to the department's shared email account. Our school uses Gmail for its company emails.

Because all of the Jotform emails have the same subject heading, Gmail frequently perceives them to be part of the same "conversation", and lumps many of the emails together, creating confusion. We tried turning "conversation view" off, but that led to further confusion when we were not able to see at a glance which emails had been responded to.

Do you know of a way to modify a form so that the subject heading of the email notification is partially drawn off of data entered into the form? Say, the student's ID number (which is an entry in the form), or their last name?

An ideal subject heading would be, "Newcard ID Online Confirmation: N00123456" where the ID number, N00123456, varies from student to student.

For more information on this phenomenon in Gmail:

Do you have any information about this?

    Thanks for contacting us.

Yes, there's a way to modify the Subject of the email notification, you can use the entry information of your form to customize it.  You can use the Name fields, the Form Title or any other field you wish. You only need to delete the current subject and click on the field from the Form Fields menu as you can see in the next image:

As you can see, after I hit Full Name option from the Form Fields the tag {fullName4} appeared, that will show the form user's name in the subject of the notification.

You can use the Student ID to customize the subject of the notification, you just need to click on the field from the Form Fields menu.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you need further assistance with this or kindly open a new thread to post unrelated questions.
