Paypal merchant account with inventory controls

Asked by Acadian on November 18, 2013 at 04:10 PM

I need to use the PayPal inventory control option to limit the number of items that can be sold online.  Can I use that feature through JotForm's PayPal wizard?

I created a payment button in my PayPal account and added the HTML into my form (see attached).  Looks great, but doesn't redirect to PayPal when I click the button.

    Hi,

I need to use the PayPal inventory control option to limit the number of items that can be sold online.  Can I use that feature through JotForm's PayPal wizard?

Unfortunatelly this is not available at this time. The paypal inventory control, which was a different API than the current paypal payment tools in JotForm, is not supported at this time.

I created a payment button in my PayPal account and added the HTML into my form (see attached).  Looks great, but doesn't redirect to PayPal when I click the button.

I can see what you were trying to achieve.

Since you have embedded the paypal inventory API button within the form, my hunch is; it is encountering script conflict and the JotForm code is preventing the paypal interface from being triggered.

An alternative I can suggest is to embed the paypal inventory control API to an external page, and just provide an href link to within the form. So, by clicking the link, it will open a new window were the paypal inventory control can be used.

I made a test form you can try http://www.jotformpro.com/form/33216124465953 . Click on the embedded link to test.

Hope this help. Inform us if there is more we can assist you with.

    Thanks.

You can also use PayPal’s ‘Buy Now’ buttons if you want to allow single-item purchase payments, with each button selling both single and multiple units of a particular item. Their Button Manager API will help you create and manage your buttons.
