I received a link from an organization to submit forms. I've uploaded the PDFs but cannot see them. When I click the form name under the submission tab, it sends me to a page that says "Whoops 404 error" How do I fix this?

Thank you for making your inquiry at Jotform support.

When you see a 404 error message, it means there is a setting problem with the Form owner's account.

The owner of the form (or website owner) should check their privacy setting concerning the "Require log-in to view uploaded files" and uncheck it.

Unfortunately, since you are on the receiving end for the link, there is nothing much you can do to fix it. Instead, you can email or contact the company / organization which manages the form (or site) and let it be known that there is 404 error happening with the link.

I also would like to let you know that we can not just go in and fix the form owner's setting without their expressed wish to resolve such issue. Hence, it is very important that they are aware of such an issue happening on their form.

Then the company can contact us or fix it on their own to prevent the error from happening again.

I hope my answer was helpful.

Let us know if you have further issues.

Will the organizer be able to view the documents although I cannot?

    Hi Edra,

Yes, the form owner (or the organizer as you put it) can view the original form.

The admin who is in charge of maintaining the form can view and make necessary changes to the privacy setting on their form.

I hope this is the answer you are looking for.

Please let me know if you have other questions.

    Let me clarify,

Will the form owner be able to view the PDF documents I uploaded to their form although I can’t see them?

I checked your email logs through JotFom, and I have not found the link sent to you other than from out Jotform site and me.

So I could not check if you have made a complete or an incomplete submission though the link. However, if you can say that you have uploaded the PDF successfully initially, then the files you attached should have reached the form owner's end.

So, in short, they should have access to your submitted document / PDF files..

However, it is always best to contact them through email to check on your submission on their end.

So let us know how it goes. If there is a case where your submission has not reached them, please let us know.

It will be also helpful for us to know their email address on the form or the link next time.

    Best regards,
