I have what might be a noob question - up until two months ago I knew NOTHING about forms and have learned a ton but need one more function I can't find MailChimp referred me to you and I've poked around your site but can't find what I need... it might simply be a vocabulary issue, as in I don't know what the thing I need is properly called.
I started a business with multiple opt-in vehicles, such as a free eBook download, a free video series, etc. - not too uncoomon online, right? I also have unique autoresponder emails for each product vehicle, so MailChimp suggested instead of having a list for each vehicle that I use one list with segments. (I spent a week learning how to code a form, another to learn how to make the segment part work via a hidden field. noob.). Now the problem I'm running into is that when someone who has joined my list to get the eBook gets a marketing email from me promoting the video series product, they can't register because MailChimp sees they're already on the list. So I either market without the optin form and lost a bunch of leads, or I can't market to anyone on my list (this becaomes an issue like on Facebook where a post goes to current leads and "not-yet-leads."
MailChimp said I could design a form here that would give me code that looks to MailChimp like a current member info UPDATE rather than a NEW subscriber, so it removes that problem. I'm hoping this works.
By the way, my site is a WordPress site using the OptimizePress 2 theme, so I've had to custom-enter the code from the MailChimp form builder (I think it was everything within the <form></form> tags which included the hidden segment field) into a space OptimizePress gives me to put it. I'm hoping there's simply a line of code which goes between these tags?
I'm sorry for the crazy-long email but I figured better to over-explain and make sure I get the right thing the first time.
Thanks so much for your patience and help!
With blessings and gratitude,

Thank you for contacting us and for providing clear details.
First off, we have MailChimp Integration with few options available like the image below.
Here's how to integrate your form to MailChimp.
1. Click Setup & Embed
2. Click Integrations
3. Click Email tab and select MailChimp
4. Enter your MailChimp API Key and continue the MC setup.
Please go ahead and try it with your form and let us know if there's any missing features you are looking for so we can forward it to our developers as a feature request.
Since MailChimp is an email marketing app, the email data serves as the unique key in order for the submissions to be forwarded on MailChimp. Once an email exists on the integrated MC list, I'm afraid the submission will not be forwarded to MC. So it should have unique email on every user submissions.
By the way, we have few email app integrations. You will find it on the email tab where you pick MailChimp Integration.
Please let us know if you have further questions about this or if I've missed something on your question. Regards!

Thanks for your reply.
So when you say, "Once an email exists on the integrated MC list, I'm afraid the submission will not be forwarded to MC. So it should have unique email on every user submissions," it makes it sound like what I need isn't possible. Yet MailChimp support told me to do this and to contact you (and another company) about doing it - are you saying it's not a function that JotForm can do?
Just trying to be clear.

Yes, that is how our current integration works base on my actual test. There's no such option as to update the existing submission as of the moment. I would suggest giving it a try and let us know if you need further assistance.
