After editing the form, it is being emailed back as the original

After sending the form to someone (after being edited)

, and then when they return the form, it is coming back as the old form, and not the new revised form. Why is this happening?

Please allow me to confirm that I understood your question correctly, did you make edits to the form layout/questions itself, and now when you get new responses, the emails are still in the old layout?
If that is not the case, could you kindly elaborate on the issue?

Yes, I made edits to the form, published it, and when I view it, it is
correct. When sent to the person, the form I sent is correct, but when
returned to me through email and when they get a copy, it goes back to the
old edit!

In that case, may I ask you to delete the current email notification and autoresponder emails, and after deleting them, add new notification and autoresponder emails back onto the form.
