Image Slider widget: ability to add hyperlink to images

The user is requesting an option to add a hyperlink to the images in the Image Slider widget. Currently, it is not possible to add or associate the images to a link or URL, this option is similar to the Image field, wherein it has an option to add a link through its properties:
