Hi, I created an Online course for Manual Handling and People Handling. At the end of the course I would like to add 10 questions that if the user didn’t achieve the required score then they need to repeat the assessment.

First 9 questions I think I will be ok and know what to do with some logical conditions but also open for any other suggestion for the whole 10 questions.

The 10th question is tricky as it requires words rather than check box or single option. I used Passage Widget but it will only give me answer after and if it’s wrong then it won’t calculate together with the rest, I could be wrong so please lead me to something.

Also looking at the quiz app I think won’t suit as I need to print a cert at the end once the user is successful.

This is what I would like to achieve: after all the learning the user will be required to answer 10 questions. They first 9 is a check box with few answers needed or a single answer. The very last question is fill in the blanks and if the user is not successful then they have to do the Assessment again until they are successful to be awarded by a cert.

Can you please suggest the best approach or way to achieve this?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

The 10th question is tricky as it requires words rather than check box or single option.

You can use the Fille in the Blank field for the 10th question: https://www.jotform.com/blog/new-fill-in-the-blank-field/

Then you can also create conditional logic to calculate the score or assign a value since you can't assign a value to the options on blank fields: How-to-insert-text-or-calculation-into-a-field-using-conditional-logic

Also looking at the quiz app I think won’t suit as I need to print a cert at the end once the user is successful.

It seems that the Quiz App will only calculate the scores on the form but you can still generate a certification through the PDF Editor then attach it to the autoresponder and notification email. In this way, the certificate would still be received by the user.

But if you would still like to calculate the scores manually, that would also be fine, and you can use Conditional Logic or the Form Calculation widget.

The very last question is fill in the blanks and if the user is not successful then they have to do the Assessment again until they are successful to be awarded by a cert.

You can achieve this by utilizing conditional logic, in which IF the total score is not equal to the total score, you can hide or disable the submit button. Then show a message that they need to retake the quiz.

I hope this helps. Please do get back to us if you need further assistance.
