    State Drop Down Menu

    Asked by walkingtreetravel on November 21, 2013 at 04:19 PM

    Hello! Is there a way for me to change the "state" field in the address form to a picklist instead of a text field?  I want to force my applicants to chose a state in istead of them writing whatever they want.  Is this possible?

    Hello, you can remove the state and country fields and use a standard drop-down menu. The standard drop down menu contains a special feature that allows you to display US States.

    To hide the States and Country fields you can Inject CSS Code:

    NOTE: The code will depend on the name of your fields, these are the names of the example form I have created for demonstration purposes. Field Names May Vary.

    #input_1_state,
    #sublabel_1_state,
    #input_1_country,
    #sublabel_1_country
    display: none;}

    Also we should hide the States label and use a Sublabel instead.
    On my example form this would hide the States drop down label:

    #label_3
    {
    visibility: hidden;}

    These are the steps to hide the fields Injecting CSS Code. On the Form Editor go to the Setup & Embed. Click on Preferences, on the preferences window go to the Form Styles tab. Here you will find the Inject Custom CSS field.
