PayPal Business Integration: Transaction Refused, The request was refused error

    Tried two different credit cards on newly created jot form,

    upgraded PayPal account to business

    upgraded jot form to Bronze level

    The PayPal button successfully accepts payments, but not the credit card side.

    Selling tickets for 40th year reunion.

    We would like to apologize for any inconvenience. I have tested a cloned version for your form in sandbox mode and I was not able to reproduce the issue you have described.

    May we ask that you confirm if the issue is happening to every credit card you have tested or is it happening to just specific ones?

    It could be an issue with the credit card being used. Perhaps the card automatically declines online transactions or the PayPal payment field on your form is in USD and your respondents are making payment transactions in different currencies, like GBP. You may also try to confirm this with PayPal.

    Mike, thank you. Yes, I can confirm the "Transaction Refused" occurred with the three different valid credit cards. Unless there other tips to follow, I'll need to pull that section off the form.

    Are the currencies of the different cards in USD as well?

    I have tried to reproduce the issue as my colleague but I didn't succeeded either.

    Maybe PayPal's support would be able to give you more details about why the transactions are refused so we could help you move forward.

    Yes, all USD. I don't believe the problem is on the jot form side, but with PayPal. Thanks. I pivoted the payment option back to my personal PayPal account.
