How do you change the width of a text area field when it is in editor mode?

Asked by iowa4h on November 22, 2013 at 04:12 PM

I have a text area on my form so applicants can write an essay. I would like the to make the width (columns) of the are equal 60. Which is does. But when I turned the "editor mode" function on, the area shrank in width. Is there any way to make it 60 wide, and be in editor mode?

Unfortunatelly no. There is no CSS code to at least alter the widht of text area field while in rich editor mode.

You can if you use the form's source code.

You can specify the width of the text area field within the [div] tag.
BUT this is not highly recommended, as the effort of getting dirty code might not worth the effort. Check the image below on what to edit in the code

You can just enable full screen mode in the editor instead, to get a bigger text area field.
