How can I set $ as a predefined symbol in the answer box?

One of my questions is asking about cost. I used the "Number" question block to set up this question, but my recipients aren't able to enter the $ symbol as part of their answer in the answer box. Is it possible to set $ to automatically appear when the recipient clicks on the box to type in their answer?
