I was trying to create a new JotForm / Zapier integration for a form. I need to take a completed form and have it uploaded as a PDF file. However, when using JotForm as a trigger for a 'Zap' all of the forms fields are available for uploading, but the completed form as a PDF file is NOT available as a choice. I notice that a PDF of a completed form is available for the autoresponder or notification eMails, so it is something which is done routinely by Jotform.
- Use Zapier integration and a submitted Jotform form submission will be the trigger
- For an example, say you want to create a new folder in Microsoft OneDrive for this submission and then upload the completed PDF form to this new folder
- When you get to the part about uploading a file to the newly created folder, the New Created Jotform is a choice, but again only the form fields are available for file upload, not the completed form as a file (PDF or otherwise).
- Would you let me know if this is working as designed, or that this is a hole in the Jotform / Zapier offering, or if I am mistaken please?
Thank You in advance.

Hello there,
If I am understanding your concern correctly, you want to upload the completed submission as PDF in OneDrive.
If so, you can integrate OneDrive with your form. Integrating your form with OneDrive will upload your uploaded files and submissions as PDF in your drive. See guide below to know how.
Guide: https://www.jotform.com/blog/announcing-onedrive-integration/
I hope this helps. If, in any case, I have misunderstood your concern, please do not hesitate to let us know and give us more details about your requirements.
Thank you.

The JotForm OneDrive integration is lacking. You can only
upload a file into OneDrive into a specific folder. You cannot create
anything new. However, with ZAPIER you can make compound workflows. It
is just that JotForm does not seem to make the PDF available to Zapier
and I would like to understand why.

You can try to call download the PDF file using the PDF file link.

We can also raise a request to our developers to improve the direct OneDrive integration. Just explain in more details which feature currently missing.

erlebcReplied on March 8, 2021 at 3:44 PMThat URL you suggest I used might be valid once, but it has to be a
value that would be correct every time somone fills out a form. Not
just one time. I'm not sure I follow how this would work.
Regarding the native Jotform OneDrive integration, we need to be able to
create new folders as well as submit files into a predefined folder. If
you are getting new forms from people, you would like to be able to
organize the forms into folders for better organization. If the
submitted forms are able to be placed into folders based on completed
form submissions, or predefined folder criteria, then you can keep the
organization without having to go in later and move all of the forms
into proper folders.
With ZAPIER, I can create multi-step workflows like creating a folder in
advance of uploading a completed form, but right now JotForm does not
provide the PDF file object as something it hands off to Zapier. That
is a glaring oversight or hole in the support. If we can get completed
form submission PDF files in an eMail, then we should be able to get
them into other applications too.

Regarding the native Jotform OneDrive integration, we need to be able to create new folders as well as submit files into a predefined folder.
When you integrate your form with OneDrive, it indeed create its own folder. However, you may move the folder created by JotForm to your predefined folder. I tried it and it worked on my end.
Please note that you can also rename the folder containing the submission PDF based on the form fields for proper identification and organization.
If this will not meet your requirements, kindly let us know and we'll send a feature request regarding your concern.
We look forward to your reply.

erlebcReplied on March 9, 2021 at 8:22 AMThank You for your response. I do have a couple of comments:
* /How does one edit the predefined folder to be made in OneDrive once
an account has been authenticated?/ I have been hunting around in
the interface, and cannot find how I would do that.
* What I would prefer to see in the OneDrive integration is a method
for changing the destination folder.
o If I don't remember where it is that my account is going to
create a new folder there is nothing in front of me which tells
me where the new upload is going to go.
o I would at least like to see the path where my new submissions
are going to be placed
o I should be able to modify that path in case this form now needs
to be redirected elsewhere
oI feel this first folder either ought to be a live link to the
OneDrive account so I can select the pathway. This is how it is
done in Zapier. You have to select the folder, and then keep
clicking on it to drill down into the file system. I'm not
saying it has to be exactly like Zapier, but in that platform I
am able to select the path I need or modify it.
oAlso, it appears that once you authenticate a OneDrive account
you must store ALL of your forms in a particular path. _/That is
really limiting/_. I might need to store forms in various
places, and I should be free to specify whatever path I need for
a particular form and not be tied to one specific path. If you
can do this, it is not clear to be how that is done or what the
syntax is to specify a custom path.
o*If the Original PDF of the completed form was made available toThank You
Zapier I could have this done in a few minutes.*
o I just spent $400 to upgrade to the HIPAA compliant Silver
subscription, and what I sense here is that I am being limited
by features not implemented in Jotform. I have submitted 3
separate pleas to support asking about why the PDF of a
completed form submission is not available to Zapier, but I have
not received one legitimate response yet. I am always directed
to use the native Jotform OneDrive integration, but again, as
you will see this is not an integration which lends itself in
its current state to be user friendly, or flexible in its
implementation.

All your integration information including the destination folder can be found on the integration setting. Unfortunately, you can't create a custom path where the forms should be placed. The integration will create a new folder for your submission repository.
As to your other questions, I have moved them to a new ticket so we can address them separately. We will be responding to them via these threads shortly.
